![]() ![]() Yes, they had the power to shun and condemn her, but she is no longer shirking their judgment, in addition to her knowing that they are deliberately crippling themselves by clinging to “white” magic-and that she had the ability to best them magically. It was about time Rachel faced off with the coven, but what I liked the most is that the book started with her being confidently critical of the coven and their opinions. ![]() I love a hero who struggles with definitions of "good" and "bad" while at the same time never hesitating to barrel forward doing what is “right” despite the consequences for his or herself. I think Rachel's determination, exasperation, confidence, and loyalty really came through in this story. ![]() I enjoyed the journey of reading this book. ![]()
